Direct answer

Weapons progress through mining, Workshop forging, equipment traits, and gem upgrades rather than one verified best-weapon ranking. Heavy equipment can stun targets, and the Lapidary Table allows gems to be added to equipment at the anvil. Current weapon stats and drop rates changed too much to support a trustworthy tier list from the collected sources.

This answer uses the September 5, 2026 research snapshot and treats the Steam store, developer announcements, and directly observed footage as the strongest evidence. Search snippets and unsupported tables are not treated as proof. Where the full game, public Demo, and Patreon alpha expose different content, the page names that boundary instead of blending the builds together.

02

What the research confirms

Demo v0.11.2 introduced shared Equipment Type traits, changed magic-weapon MP scaling, moved MP growth from leveling to equipment, and added the Lapidary upgrade system. Demo v0.11.17 replaced Optimize with named Loadouts and fixed several gem-property behaviors for newly applied upgrades. Patreon alpha v0.10.5 added a Deep Woods source of Vile Relics for equipment crafting, which is not proof of free-Demo access.

Confirmed here means either an official source states the point directly or two independent sources agree on the same observable behavior. It does not mean every related number, location, or unlock condition is known. Exact values stay out of the confirmed section unless the collected material supports them at the same version level.

03

How to use this information

Mine and forge a practical upgrade, then compare the equipment type and resource cost with your current build rather than following old damage charts. Use Loadouts to preserve functional combinations after v0.11.17. Apply new gem upgrades only after reading the current effect because some fixes do not retroactively change upgrades already attached to gear.

Use the confirmed sequence first and check the in-game wording before committing rare materials or long sessions. Interface labels and broad mechanics are more stable than balance values, rewards, and exact routes during development. A step marked Pending verification (待确认) is a research lead, not a guaranteed instruction for the current build.

04

Demo, Alpha, and launch boundaries

Recipes for Wooden, Copper, and Iron Staffs and the Stone Shortsword appear in one versionless source. Rusty Scissors, Staff of Insight, and Spiked Bat locations or stats are also single-source. A claim that the Wrench is the best Demo weapon is player opinion, not a controlled comparison, and remains Pending verification (待确认).

Welcome to Elderfield has a public Steam Demo, older itch and Patreon builds, and an unreleased full game in this research snapshot. A detail can be authentic and still be obsolete or unavailable in another channel. This page therefore preserves build labels and avoids turning historical footage into a launch-version promise.

05

Pending verification (待确认)

The current v0.11.17 weapon table, damage formulas, drop pools, gem compatibility, best upgrade order, and full-game-only equipment are unavailable. Spiked Bat drop information conflicts between an older developer answer and a versionless guide after the loot system was reworked. No official current table resolves that conflict.

Pending verification (待确认) means the collected sources did not reach the required confidence threshold. It may be supported by one guide, one developer comment, or footage whose build cannot be identified, but it lacks a matching current source. These points are retained because players search for them, while their uncertainty remains visible.
