Direct answer

Cross-checked material shows Tanner, Sam, Farmer Hans, Edwin, Alice, Josh, Ellie, Celeste, Molly, and Blorph as Welcome to Elderfield characters. This is a verified working list, not the complete launch roster. The sources confirm encounters, dialogue, schedules, or developer statements at different stages of development.

This answer uses the September 5, 2026 research snapshot and treats the Steam store, developer announcements, and directly observed footage as the strongest evidence. Search snippets and unsupported tables are not treated as proof. Where the full game, public Demo, and Patreon alpha expose different content, the page names that boundary instead of blending the builds together.

02

What the research confirms

Patreon alpha v0.6.7 added fuller schedules for Celeste, Tanner, and Molly, with more random movement and a greater chance of staying home at night or in bad weather. Blorph is explicitly described by the developer as a genderless non-human character. Demo v0.11.17 added Social-menu affinity and gift tracking plus an option to disable dialogue camera zoom.

Confirmed here means either an official source states the point directly or two independent sources agree on the same observable behavior. It does not mean every related number, location, or unlock condition is known. Exact values stay out of the confirmed section unless the collected material supports them at the same version level.

03

How to use this information

Use the Social menu to distinguish people already met from names appearing in older guides, and record where your current build actually places them. Weather and time can change schedules, so a missed NPC does not automatically mean the source is wrong. For relationship planning, confirm gift reactions in your own save because the menu only records discoveries made after its update.

Use the confirmed sequence first and check the in-game wording before committing rare materials or long sessions. Interface labels and broad mechanics are more stable than balance values, rewards, and exact routes during development. A step marked Pending verification (待确认) is a research lead, not a guaranteed instruction for the current build.

04

Demo, Alpha, and launch boundaries

Detailed home and location claims for Tanner, Sam, Ellie, Edwin, Josh, Alice, Molly, Blorph, Celeste, Abigail, Herb, the Gatekeeper, and the Garbage Man come from one versionless guide. Names such as Adrian, Jeannie, and Dave appear in research but do not all reach the same verification level. Those location rows remain Pending verification (待确认).

Welcome to Elderfield has a public Steam Demo, older itch and Patreon builds, and an unreleased full game in this research snapshot. A detail can be authentic and still be obsolete or unavailable in another channel. This page therefore preserves build labels and avoids turning historical footage into a launch-version promise.

05

Pending verification (待确认)

The complete NPC roster, current schedules, birthdays, shops, services, relationship caps, candidate status, and full biographies are not available from two current sources. Some people may belong to areas outside the public Demo. A launch character index should be built from direct encounters and official names rather than completing gaps from assumptions.

Pending verification (待确认) means the collected sources did not reach the required confidence threshold. It may be supported by one guide, one developer comment, or footage whose build cannot be identified, but it lacks a matching current source. These points are retained because players search for them, while their uncertainty remains visible.
