Welcome to Elderfield Demo Guide and Download

The Welcome to Elderfield Demo is a free, separate Steam app; its September 8 official changelog is labelled Demo v1.0.0. The store still describes an alpha vertical slice with parts of the town, farm and ranch, the Mall dungeon, and several core systems. The Demo is not the full game, so its version number and scope should not be used to infer the released game's complete content.

Official updates were checked on September 29, 2026. The latest documented full-game announcement is v1.0.2a, dated September 23; the separate Demo has a v1.0.0 changelog dated September 8. Older Demo and alpha research below retains its original evidence boundaries. These announcement versions do not guarantee which build is installed on your device. Full-game, Demo, and Patreon changes are kept separate throughout the guide.

Steam App 3195680 identifies the Demo, while App 3195440 identifies the full release. Demo v0.11.17 introduced Social tracking, Loadouts and visual options in the older research snapshot. Fishing is present, so older claims that the Demo contains no fishing are rejected by stronger evidence.

The September 8 Demo v1.0.0 notes fix bait-exclusive fish checks, controller targeting of diagonal fishing spots, missing localized text and several input or display problems. They also fix the gift menu's relationship status when a character is married. That conditional UI fix does not establish a complete Demo marriage route or prove that the later full-game v1.0.2a fixes were shipped to the Demo.

Confirmed here means either an official source states the point directly or two independent sources agree on the same observable behavior. It does not mean every related number, location, or unlock condition is known. Exact values stay out of the confirmed section unless the collected material supports them at the same version level.

Download the Demo from its own Steam page and read the latest official update notes before following an old walkthrough. Use it to learn the production loop, relationship interface, exploration, and turn-based combat rather than to complete a final-game checklist. If an old objective or menu does not match, compare the guide's build with the September 8 Demo v1.0.0 changelog.

Use the confirmed sequence first and check the in-game wording before committing rare materials or long sessions. Interface labels and broad mechanics are more stable than balance values, rewards, and exact routes during development. A step marked Pending verification (待确认) is a research lead, not a guaranteed instruction for the current build.

The developer recommended starting fresh for the fuller opening because town content, news, the job board, and seasonal flow changed, but did not issue a blanket command to delete every save. Older pre-May 2025 saves may have additional compatibility limits. Estimates that the Demo represents one sixth or about fifteen percent of the game remain rough, single-source descriptions.

Welcome to Elderfield launched on Steam on September 10, 2026. Its public Demo and older itch or Patreon builds remain separate evidence. A detail can be authentic and still be obsolete or unavailable in another channel. Historical footage is not automatically proof of the released game's balance or unlock requirements.

A fixed completion time, exact percentage of the final game, complete area list, full save-migration process, and every final-release carryover are Pending verification (待确认). The Stone Tower's accessibility also depends on the build represented by a source. Treat the Demo as a changing preview, not a stable miniature of the launch version.

Pending verification (待确认) means the collected sources did not reach the required confidence threshold. It may be supported by one guide, one developer comment, or footage whose build cannot be identified, but it lacks a matching current source. These points are retained because players search for them, while their uncertainty remains visible.
