Direct answer

Historical Demo footage confirms that the farm cat can provide a treasure map and that a shovel is used to dig buried treasure. Separately, Demo v0.11.2 added rare outdoor treasure spots that are dug with a hoe. These are related treasure systems, but they should not be merged into one numbered-map mechanic.

This answer uses the September 5, 2026 research snapshot and treats the Steam store, developer announcements, and directly observed footage as the strongest evidence. Search snippets and unsupported tables are not treated as proof. Where the full game, public Demo, and Patreon alpha expose different content, the page names that boundary instead of blending the builds together.

02

What the research confirms

The farm-cat interaction and shovel digging are visible in the collected footage. Official v0.11.17 notes also fixed Treasure Caskets that could sometimes award no loot. The official outdoor-treasure update does not publish spawn probability, complete rewards, or a numbered map list.

Confirmed here means either an official source states the point directly or two independent sources agree on the same observable behavior. It does not mean every related number, location, or unlock condition is known. Exact values stay out of the confirmed section unless the collected material supports them at the same version level.

03

How to use this information

When the cat gives a map, keep the map and shovel available and compare the clue with landmarks visible in your current build. For an outdoor treasure spot, follow the hoe interaction described by the newer update rather than assuming the shovel applies. Save before testing an old coordinate because terrain and area access can change across builds.

Use the confirmed sequence first and check the in-game wording before committing rare materials or long sessions. Interface labels and broad mechanics are more stable than balance values, rewards, and exact routes during development. A step marked Pending verification (待确认) is a research lead, not a guaranteed instruction for the current build.

04

Demo, Alpha, and launch boundaries

Numbered maps one, two, three, five, and eleven have locations or rewards in one older source, but the build and exact acquisition rules are unclear. A developer-selected reply supports a Sewers association for Map 2 without confirming the precise tile. Old shovel purchase and resale figures refer to different prices and remain Pending verification (待确认).

Welcome to Elderfield has a public Steam Demo, older itch and Patreon builds, and an unreleased full game in this research snapshot. A detail can be authentic and still be obsolete or unavailable in another channel. This page therefore preserves build labels and avoids turning historical footage into a launch-version promise.

05

Pending verification (待确认)

Current coordinates, complete map numbering, acquisition conditions, digging tools for each system, casket loot tables, repeatability, and exact rewards are unresolved. The research also cannot confirm which maps are available in the free Demo. Avoid presenting an approximate screenshot position as a guaranteed tile.

Pending verification (待确认) means the collected sources did not reach the required confidence threshold. It may be supported by one guide, one developer comment, or footage whose build cannot be identified, but it lacks a matching current source. These points are retained because players search for them, while their uncertainty remains visible.
