Welcome to Elderfield Quests and Task Guide

Verified early Welcome to Elderfield quests include Hans asking the player to grow wheat and Molly asking for Copper Ore. An Eldritch Prank contains a choice that the developer says affects later progress. Tasks also contribute to relationships, so they are not only item-delivery checklists.

Official updates were checked on September 29, 2026. The latest documented full-game announcement is v1.0.2a, dated September 23; the separate Demo has a v1.0.0 changelog dated September 8. Older Demo and alpha research below retains its original evidence boundaries. These announcement versions do not guarantee which build is installed on your device. Full-game, Demo, and Patreon changes are kept separate throughout the guide.

Collected footage shows Molly's Workshop dialogue providing a Furnace, though the complete blueprint route is unresolved. Demo v0.11.2 added a quest leading to a new area, enemies, and a boss without naming that quest in the evidence used here. The same update fixed artwork tied to an Abigail task, and v0.11.17 fixed a Parks and Recreation start problem when bathing was disabled.

The September 18 Hotfix #2 v1.0.1 directly fixes Adrian's Tentacle Cleanup task failing to progress. September 22 fixes Job Board tasks becoming active without being accepted and fixes the Cat Toy not being accepted for turn-in. These notes confirm specific progression bugs, not the tasks' complete prerequisites, locations or reward amounts.

Confirmed here means either an official source states the point directly or two independent sources agree on the same observable behavior. It does not mean every related number, location, or unlock condition is known. Exact values stay out of the confirmed section unless the collected material supports them at the same version level.

Read the task text in the current build and finish simple early requests before following a versionless reward table. Save before the choice in An Eldritch Prank if you want to inspect consequences without assuming one route is objectively best. When Molly's dialogue becomes available, verify whether the Furnace is granted directly or whether another condition has already been met.

Use the confirmed sequence first and check the in-game wording before committing rare materials or long sessions. Interface labels and broad mechanics are more stable than balance values, rewards, and exact routes during development. A step marked Pending verification (待确认) is a research lead, not a guaranteed instruction for the current build.

Farmer's Path, Skull Chalice, Fast Food Fiend, The Elder Gem, Build-A-Wife, Time to Investigate, and Skelekid task details are single-source and build-sensitive. Counts, materials, and rewards from those pages remain Pending verification (待确认). A day-five letter and several Sewers directions also lack current independent confirmation.

Welcome to Elderfield launched on Steam on September 10, 2026. Its public Demo and older itch or Patreon builds remain separate evidence. A detail can be authentic and still be obsolete or unavailable in another channel. Historical footage is not automatically proof of the released game's balance or unlock requirements.

The complete task order, all rewards, missable choices, prerequisite graph, quest names for update content, and full-release story sequence are unavailable. Sources disagree about whether Hans, Molly, or multiple paths unlock the Furnace. That conflict remains unresolved, so the page does not claim a single mandatory route.

Pending verification (待确认) means the collected sources did not reach the required confidence threshold. It may be supported by one guide, one developer comment, or footage whose build cannot be identified, but it lacks a matching current source. These points are retained because players search for them, while their uncertainty remains visible.
