Direct answer

Farming starts by clearing obstacles, hoeing soil, planting seeds, watering, and harvesting. Cleansing Balm removes Ghost Tentacles to free more workable ground. Crops can be sold or used for processing and cooking, but no current, cross-checked crop-profit ranking is available.

This answer uses the September 5, 2026 research snapshot and treats the Steam store, developer announcements, and directly observed footage as the strongest evidence. Search snippets and unsupported tables are not treated as proof. Where the full game, public Demo, and Patreon alpha expose different content, the page names that boundary instead of blending the builds together.

02

What the research confirms

The game includes crops that move, adding an unusual step to ordinary farm management. Patreon alpha v0.10.5 added held-input continuous planting, while Demo v0.11.2 documented charged tools plus continuous planting and harvesting. Demo v0.11.17 improved targeting feedback and requires planted flowers to be watered, making older no-water flower instructions obsolete.

Confirmed here means either an official source states the point directly or two independent sources agree on the same observable behavior. It does not mean every related number, location, or unlock condition is known. Exact values stay out of the confirmed section unless the collected material supports them at the same version level.

Clear only the ground you can maintain, prepare soil, plant, and water according to the feedback in the current build. Keep part of the harvest for food and processing before selling the rest. When expanding, use Cleansing Balm on Ghost Tentacles but verify the current source and quantity rather than budgeting around an old vendor figure.

Use the confirmed sequence first and check the in-game wording before committing rare materials or long sessions. Interface labels and broad mechanics are more stable than balance values, rewards, and exact routes during development. A step marked Pending verification (待确认) is a research lead, not a guaranteed instruction for the current build.

03

Demo, Alpha, and launch boundaries

Versionless tables list crop prices, yields, growth nights, seasons, regrowth, tool coverage, watering capacity, fertilizer effects, statues, scarecrows, and tax bonuses. Those exact values do not have current independent confirmation. Even an official fruit-tree spacing note is kept as Pending verification (待确认) for layout planning until its boundaries are observed in the current build.

Welcome to Elderfield has a public Steam Demo, older itch and Patreon builds, and an unreleased full game in this research snapshot. A detail can be authentic and still be obsolete or unavailable in another channel. This page therefore preserves build labels and avoids turning historical footage into a launch-version promise.

04

Pending verification (待确认)

Pumpkin and Corn data conflict across sources, and effect percentages conflict between farming and crafting tables from the same guide. Strawberry and Duskmelon rows contain explicit uncertainty. Complete seed unlocks, quality prices, taxes, difficulty differences, and a net-profit ranking therefore remain unresolved rather than being calculated from incompatible inputs.

Pending verification (待确认) means the collected sources did not reach the required confidence threshold. It may be supported by one guide, one developer comment, or footage whose build cannot be identified, but it lacks a matching current source. These points are retained because players search for them, while their uncertainty remains visible.
